Back by popular demand…we are excited to offer a FREE Community Children’s Choir class to serve the amazing young people in the community.
Mondays 4:30-5:30pm
March 3, 10, 17, 24 (no class 31), April 7, 14, (no class 21), 28, May 5, 12, 19
Ages 4yrs – 12yrs.
Students will be split into two groups by age and will work on age-appropriate material. Our youngest members will work on singing along with a group, projecting their voices, learning clear enunciation and simple movement to accompany each song. The older students will experience vocal warmups and techniques, reading sheet music, singing in parts, possible solos when comfortable for student and ensemble singing. Each day there will be two rotations for each group: one with singing and one with simple instrumentation or craft activities. Then students will come together and combine what they have learned as one cohesive group.

We hope to have two culminating performances in May; one at WHUMC church during a Sunday morning service and one at a local nursing home for seniors. More on those ideas to
